Gone off sex chat with Dr Sarah Brewer

continued from page 9
Can natural treatments boost your sex drive?
Q: I wondered if you had any recommendations for any alternative treatments that can help boost libido?
dustyblonde

A: Lots of supplements can help, but the ones you need depend on your age and the cause of your low libido. Several plans are available in my book - Increase your Sex Drive by Dr Sarah Brewer (Thorsons), which you can order from your local library.

Check that it is not due to any medication you are taking, excess alcohol, overwork and stress, depression, or having fallen out of love with your partner. For a pre-menopausal woman, take a multivitamin and mineral supplement, evening primrose oil plus Siberian ginseng daily for four to six weeks. If there is no obvious improvement after this time, add in muira puama for another six weeks.
