Home-delivered recipes and ingredients for purse-friendly family meals!
I don't know about you lovely lot but some days I just cannot think of something 'new' to cook and tying to keep everyone excited about dinner is sometimes hard work. Especially in these times, it's not really like we can say 'let's just go out to eat instead!' It's every other night at best.
I found something recently that I think you could really go for... Hello Fresh.
It's a company that delivers the exact fresh ingredients neccessary to make recipes (which they also send) for exciting dishes that went down a storm in this house, and working out from £4.95 a meal I was extremely satisfied with the results!
These easy-to-follow recipes (with diagrams for the less confident) are basically what I've been hoping for, as some days I just get home from a long day and I can't even think straight.
I gave it a whirl and ordered a box the other day from the website - www.hellofresh.co.uk - and what turned up at my door was a box bursting with meats and veg, almost exactly the same as what you see on the website.
I was sent the ingredients for Teriyaki chicken with Coco-nutty rice and bok choi, Pork chops with cinnamon & apple chutney and rosemary new potatoes and smoked paprika chicken with avocado and barley salad. So, I set to work on the teriyaki chicken and it was as simple as you like with maximum flavour! Sadly for me everyone else enjoyed it so much and, because I'm a slow eater, thought it would be hilarious to eat mine too!
The rice had just a hint of coconut which I thought was a LOVELY little touch.
You know why I would recommend Hello Fresh? Because, honestly on those days where your brain could explode and there is just too much to think about, making a healthy, tasty dinner for everyone doesn't have to be the straw that broke the camel's back and send you over the edge - now if they could just send someone round to do the washing up, that'd make me a very happy lady!!
