Is pink too girly for a bedroom?
I've just bought my first house and currently the walls are all a magnolia/neutral colour. I'm really into rich/bright colours and would love to paint one of my rooms pink. I'm not thinking barbie pink, more of a deep/ darker shade of pink but not only can I not decide which room to paint pink but all my friends/family tell me it's a bad idea as it'll look tacky and too girly.
What do you think of pink rooms? Would I regret it? I'd be really interested to hear your opinion!
Thanks.

Go for it girl! This is your home so you must make it yours and if pink's your thing then that's what you must do.
In fact in my show for Channel 4 ("Honey, I Ruined the House 8pm Thursdays - shameless self-promoter moi?) I've done an all pink room for my contributor - pink walls, pink carpet - and she was thrilled. Like you she loved pink but was worried about the execution. I think so long as you do it in a post-punk kind of way i.e. with some oomph and avoid pastels at all costs it will be fabulous.A little conviction can go a long way.
