February can be the coldest month of all, but being the shortest one, it soon makes way for March and Spring! Dress up warm, get outside and clear away those final remains of last year.
Take stock, too. This is a good time to move plants growing in the wrong place or remove overgrown ones. It's surprising just how much space you can create - a perfect time to splash out on new plants.
