Knit a pretty mohair cardigan

Keep warm and chic in this feminine cardigan with pretty ribbon detail. Pattern by Sublime

You will need

5 [6:6:6:7:7] (see table below for size guide) x 25g balls of Sublime kid mohair in shade 025 fig.
1 pair of 5mm (UK6 - USA8) Knitting Needles (or the size required to give the correct tension).
2 metres of wide Ribbon.

Tension

Please take a little time now to knit a stocking stitch tension square. Using 5mm needles cast on 19 stitches and work 25 rows in stocking stitch (1 row knit, 1 row purl). This should now measure 10cm, (4in) square. If your square isn't the correct width please refer to page 9.

Abbreviations

cm centimetres, g grammes, in inch(es), inc increase(ing), k knit, mm millimetres, 0 no rows, p purl, rs right side, st(s) stitch(es), tbl through back of loop, tog together.
K2tog insert the right hand needle through the 2nd and 1st stitches on the left hand needle and knit them together to form a single stitch.
P2tog insert the right hand needle purlways through the 1st and 2nd stitches on the left hand needle and purl them together to form a single stitch.
P2togtbl insert the right hand needle through the backs of the 2nd and 1st stitches on the needle from left to right and purl them together to form a single stitch.
Psso pass slipped stitch over - pass the slipped stitch from the right hand needle over the stitch or stitches you have just worked.
S1 slip 1 stitch knitways - insert the right hand needle into next stitch as if to knit but just slip it off the left hand needle onto the right hand needle without working.
Yfwd bring yarn to front between needles then take yarn over the top of the right hand needle to form a stitch.
