How do I colour my hair naturally?

question

Hi Janey,

I started getting grey hair when I was around 16. I was always dying my hair until last year when I decided that I would have it cut short and then stop because I was concerned about the chemicals. Now it's a year on and I'm beginning to feel that I'd like to colour again (being referred to as grannie didn't help when I was out with my three year old!). Can you recommend any that will cover grey (quite a lot at the sides and a general peppering throughout the rest).

answer

Hiya,

In the book I talk about Daniel Field 'water colours', which are meant to be fantastic for colouring grey hair. Since writing the book, I've also found Logona Hair colours.

The problem with Daniel's range is that they aren't easy to source and there's some 'incorrect' packaging around. But if you're lucky enough to be in Herts or North London his salon is fab. I have 'seaweed highlights'. For Logona - go to the wonderful www.avea.co.uk. You're right to check, the last thing we need is 'scary' chemicals in our hair colours.
