Top Tips

Find out how to select, treat and clean your new glass tiles

  • If you like strong colours, glass tiles are an excellent choice as they hold colour particularly well.
  • Create a feature wall in your bathroom to frame different bathing zones.
  • If you'd rather not tile a whole wall one colour, add character to neutral tiles with a glass band, border or occasional accent tile.
  • Some tiles may not be suitable for use in certain areas of your room, so check with the manufacturer.
  • Glass tiles are as easy to fix as ceramic ones. The adhesive used will vary depending on the tile.
  • Try to avoid cutting glass tiles as light can be refracted strangely when whole tiles are not used. If you must, then take care - wear protective clothing and use appropriate tools.
  • Glass tiles are often handmade,so be prepared for variation and individuality in the final product.
  • Clean your glass tiles using glass cleaner rather than a ceramic one to avoid smearing. Remember, intricate patterns will be harder to keep clean.
