What you'll need

  • Tape measure
  • Two different fabrics
  • Thread to match your fabric
  • Wooden dowelling, slightly shorter than your blind's width
  • Four ribbons as long as your window, plus seam allowance
  • Double-sided, sew-and-stick Velcro, as long as the blind width
  • A sewing machine and an iron, plus pins and scissors
