Hot beef with chilli, crab salad and soy sauce

The hot beef salad is a popular dish on the wagamama menu; it's so simple and yet so tasty
Ingredients
- 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 red onion, peeled and cut into half-moon slices
- 110g (4oz) broccoli florets or courgettes, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 250g (9oz) sirloin or rump steak, cut into thin strips
- handful of mangetout, thinly sliced lengthways
- 2 garlic cloves, peeled and crushed
- 1 red chilli, trimmed, deseeded and sliced
- 1 crabstick, shredded (optional)
- 150g (5oz) beansprouts
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon light soy sauce
- 1 lime, halved
- 2 tablespoons fried shallots
- 4 springs of coriander

- Heat a wok over a medium heat for minutes or until completely hot and almost smoking and add the vegetable oil. Add the red onion and broccoli and stir fry for minutes until lightly browned. Add the beef and stir fry for about minutes until lightly browned. Add the mangetout, garlic, chilli, crabstick and beansprouts and stir fry for a further minutes. Add sugar, salt and soy sauce and toss quickly. Divide between plates, squeeze over the juice from the lime and sprinkle with the shallots and coriander.
