This alternative to hot chocolate is very warming, and is popular with children. Adults will like it too, perhaps with a shot or two of brandy or whisky
 

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of milk
  • 1cm piece fresh ginger, finely grated, or ½ tsp dried ginger
  • sugar to taste
Serves: 1 Preparation: 7   Total Time: 7min whats this
 

Directions

  1. Heat milk gently in a pan.
  2. Add the ginger and or tsp sugar to taste.
  3. Just before serving, use a whisk to make the milk frothy.
