This alternative to hot chocolate is very warming, and is popular with children. Adults will like it too, perhaps with a shot or two of brandy or whisky
Ingredients
- 1 cup of milk
- 1cm piece fresh ginger, finely grated, or ½ tsp dried ginger
- sugar to taste
Directions

- Heat milk gently in a pan.
- Add the ginger and or tsp sugar to taste.
- Just before serving, use a whisk to make the milk frothy.
