How iVillagers celebrate Mother’s Day
“We are currently painting bits of egg boxes for the centre of daffodils and lilies (made from the pointy bits between the eggs), which we will complete with pipe cleaners and paper. We will be adding some tissue carnations to the bouquet next week and maybe a few tissue paper flowers and tying the whole lot into a bunch with a ribbon from our craft box.” - mind_gone-blank

“I had breakfast in bed. Even if they did wake me up to have it. John, my eldest was working, so I had to get up anyway to take him there. Opened my card and presents once he was home - he didn't want t miss out!” - oh2bhappy

“I think we'll put together a selection of seeds for the mothers this year. We have bought them in fancy bags in the past and had them delivered because it's easier to get them to mother-in-law that way. But this year I think we'll make our own selection and put them in a little bag ourselves with a hand written poem. This way more thought and effort will have gone into it and we will save loads of money!” - sarahmonkey

“Asia gave me a bunch of five daffodils and a mug with a picture she had drawn of the four of us. Oren had made a card with a bookmark he'd stitched on the front. They're the best presents I've had for any Mother’s Day as they were made by them.” – jojo_lass
