Ensure your hair is as calm and controlled as your interview technique, with our must-have tips and advice.

Interviews are stressful enough without having to worry about your hair's performance, too. First and foremost, you need to portray a polished and professional image, and first impressions really do count. The interviewer will almost certainly take notice of your presentation and whether you would fit into the company, so it's definitely worth thinking about how you will wear and style your hair - after all, you don't want it falling into your face or obscuring your eyes when you're trying to win that prized position!
In order for you to appear cool, calm and confident, we've put together some sure-fire tips to ensure you take control of both the interview and your hair...
1. On the day of the interview, even if you don't have time to do anything else, make sure your hair is clean, brushed and out of your face.
2. If you're inclined to fiddle with your hair or twirl it round your finger, tie it back so you avoid temptation and prevent distracting the interviewer
3. If your hair is coloured, make sure you have roots tended to before the interview, as regrowth will make you appear untidy and it will look as though you can't be bothered
