Coping with suicide
  • When someone close to you commits suicide it is important to work through the crisis.
  • Sharing your grief with someone who understands is a good way to begin the process. Very often those left in the aftermath of a death by suicide blame themselves for not doing enough.
  • Without help, you may experience anxiety, restlessness and anger.
  • Counselling by a trained grief counsellor can help as they can listen and ask questions as well as comforting.
