Visit once and you'll hear thousands of different voices busily sorting out one another's problems, or putting the world to rights. Visit twice and you'll be hooked - for good.

It’s Spring!

The daffs have sprung, the sap is on the rise and most women’s thoughts are turning to crunching abs, losing those stubborn five pounds and finding an exercise regime which will leave that hang-dog winter feeling standing on its head.

If getting into shape is on your agenda, try a walking work-out with kindred spirits. When the sugar gremlins strike find support and if getting into shape seems too serious share your most embarrassing work-out moment and discover what gives others the wobbles on the gym floor.

Starting Over

Been promising forever to fix that door hanging lopsided on its hinges? Yearn to paint the children’s tree house a daffodil yellow? Get inspiration from other DIY enthusiasts.

Want to know how to help your tender crocuses survive, help a sickly poinsetta, or turn that piece of scabby land where the wheelie bins sit into a wild flower grove? Check in with iVillage’s gardeners.

And on the subject of gardens, if you’re at a loss to know why your dog digs up your lovely new spring bulbs or why your cat treats your hosepipe as a snack, find out why your beloved furries do the things they do.

Spring is a great season to dust the cobwebs off your recipe books and flex culinary muscles you didn’t know you had. Experiment with time-tested recipes and give that Sunday brunch you’ve been promising your friends for ages.

Struggling with the tough stuff

No matter what you’re going through, support is close at hand. You’ll find the most sympathetic people in the world dotted everywhere throughout the network. As a group, iVillage boardies are kind, compassionate and always ready to help.

If your partner is currently deployed in Iraq and you’re trying to cope back home, you’ll find support and comfort on our Families in the Forces board.

If you’re pregnant there’s always an expert on hand to ask chat and you might even find someone who went into labour the same time as you – and had triplets too.

Be Happy

Spring is also a time to reflect and spend more time 'being' rather than doing. So resolve to stop worrying.

Think of the words of the American comedienne, Erma Bombeck, who was in the final stages of her battle with cancer when asked what she would do if she had her life to live over. This is one of the things she said: "There would have been more 'I Love You's' and more 'I'm sorry's' but mostly, given another shot at life, I would seize every minute...look at it, really see it and never give it back."

Happy Spring!
