iVillage.co.uk strengthens senior management team

iVillage.co.uk Appoints Becca Clarke as Business Development Director, whilst promoting Selia Bellanca to Marketing Director

September 7th 2001: iVillage.co.uk, the UK's leading women's website, today announces a series of UK appointments to strengthen its senior management team. Becca Clarke is named Business Development Director, whilst Selia Bellanca is promoted to Marketing Director. Bellanca and Clarke will report directly to iVillage UK's CEO Phil Rooke.

Becca Clarke joins iVillage.co.uk from the award-winning startup Youreable.com, an Accenture and Channel 4 joint venture. As Youreable.com's Sales and Marketing Director, Clarke managed a 20 strong team to develop the site and implement the marketing campaign. Previously, Clarke was co-Founder and Marketing Director of doLondon.com.

Prior to doLondon, Becca worked as a consultant at Accenture's 'eIntelligence Unit'. At iVillage UK, Clarke will be responsible for brand extensions, new revenue streams, and creating new, compelling on and offline iVillage.co.uk initiatives.

Selia Bellanca is promoted to iVillage.co.uk's Marketing Director from Marketing Manager, reflecting her contribution in building the iVillage UK brand since its launch in December 2000. Bellanca will oversee all of iVillage UK's marketing activity.

Prior to joining iVillage.co.uk, Bellanca was Strategic Marketing Manager for BBC Worldwide's Internet and Interactive division, and previously held media planning roles for American advertising agencies including D'Arcy Masius Benton and Bowles, where she worked on the General Motors account, where she managed a marketing budget of over £60 million.

In addition, Morra Aarons is promoted to Senior Marketing Manager. Aarons will be responsible for continuing to build the iVillage UK brand offline through strategic alliances, public relations and advertising, and creating synergies with iVillage and Tesco, its joint venture partner in the UK.

"iVillage is the most talented team I have worked with, and it continues to get better with each appointment," says iVillage UK's CEO, Phil Rooke.
