Provides impartial advice on equipment for independent living, runs a helpline and mail enquiry service and deals with over 40,000 enquiries annually. Provides a wide range of information and fact sheets on specific items of equipment and produces information in printed form, CD ROM and via the Internet. Has an equipment centre for people to try items of equipment, with trained staff to assist. Also runs training courses on various aspects of disability.
