Jewelled Starfish Biscuits

Children will love these biscuits - they're particularly popular if you're planning to take a picnic to the beach!
Ingredients
- 175g soft margarine, plus extra for greasing
- 225g light brown soft sugar
- grated zest of 1 unwaxed orange
- 1 egg, beaten
- 350g self-raising flour, sifted, plus extra for dusting
- 200g milk chocolate candy buttons

- Preheat the oven to //gas mark Grease three baking sheets. Cream together margarine, sugar and orange zest. Beat in the egg, add the flour and knead on a lightly floured board to a soft dough.
- Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface to m thick. Cut out starfish shapes from the dough, using a sharp knife. Place on the baking sheets, spacing well apart to give the biscuits room to spread. Lightly press the candy buttons into the dough to decorate the starfish.
- Cook in batches towards the centre of the oven for - minutes. Leave to cool, then remove from the baking sheets. Store in an airtight container.
