Rearing the chickens

It all starts with quality assured food for the chickens, so we make sure suppliers don't use nasty things like antibiotic growth promoters. Rearing conditions are also strictly regulated to ensure animal welfare, which is why we only select the very best suppliers and work in partnership with them through long-term contracts. And we NEVER buy from unapproved sources. Our chickens all have a unique supplier code, batch number and best before date, to ensure that we can trace every one at every stage of its journey, from farm to restaurant. And of course, they must meet or exceed all UK and EU legislation.

Stringent checks are carried out by independent experts at every stage of the process, whilst food safety standards are monitored and regulated by ministry vets.
