You will need

- King Cole, Mirage DK, Edmonton (864), 1 x 100g/312m ball
- A pair of 4mm needles

Tension

22 sts and 28 rows to measure 4x4in (10x10cm) over stocking stitch using 4mm needles

To knit the mittens...

Cast on 53 sts using 4mm needles.

Work a K1, P1 rib for 2in (5cm).

Row 1: *K1, yo, sl ,k2tog, psso, yo, K1, P5, K4, yo, K3, sl 1, K1, psso, P5, K1, yo, sl 1, k2tog, psso, yo, K1; repeat from * to end of row.

Row 2 and every alt row: Work each st as it appears on this side of work, purling the yo loops.

Row 3: *K1, yo, sl 1, k2tog, psso, yo, K1, P4, k2tog, K3, yo, K1, yo, K3, sl 1, K1, psso, P4, K1, yo, sl 1, k2tog, psso, yo, K1; rep from * to end of row.

Row 5: *K1, yo, sl 1, k2og, psso, yo, K1, P3, k2tog, (K3, yo) twice, K3, sl 1, K1, psso, P3, K1, yo, sl 1, k2tog, psso, yo, K1; rep from * to end of row.
