Lost in love:
Evangeline was married to her childhood sweetheart Murray Hone when she got the part in Lost, but they split shortly after she moved to Hawaii. Although they both stay tight-lipped about their private lives, she and Dominic, 29, have often been photographed surfing together around Diamond Head on the island.

'With him I feel at peace,' says Evie, who plays bad girl Kate Austen in the show. 'I couldn't be happier. He's my favourite person in the whole world.'

'The one thing I can try and keep sacred and special is my love life,' Dom says, though the two have been spotted cuddling and kissing ever since they made a cosy appearance at last year's Golden Globes. 'We both have the ability to live in the moment,' he says of the 26-year-old Canadian actress, 'and are both not that impressed by what is thrown at you by the industry.'

Island life: Lord of the Rings star Dominic loves living on the island. 'I love Hawaii,' he says. 'The sun shines, I've got a nice house, I can surf and I've got some nice friends.' Evie agrees that the outdoorsy pair have plenty to keep them occupied. 'I have been learning to surf and I have bought a kayak,' she adds. 'Just outside my back yard there is a canal that runs to the ocean so I can kayak down to the ocean. I just think how spoilt I am.'

Still to come: An engagement could be on the cards after Dom, who plays failed rock star Charlie, has been seen shopping for rings in Beverley Hills. The Berlin-born actor, who grew up in Manchester, is also keen to start a family of his own after spending time with baby Aaron on set. 'I've been broody since I was 11!' he laughs. 'I love kids. I love being around babies, it's fun.' Luckily, Evie shares his love of sprogs: 'When I was a girl, I used to say I wanted between 12 and 20 kids. Children will always be a huge part of my life.'

Lost in love:
His character Boone may have come to a grisly end, but Ian's relationship with on-screen stepsister Maggie is carrying on. The pair were romantically involved in a flashback sequence on Lost before he was killed off, and have since been regularly spotted out together in LA working out together at Gold's Gym on Venice Beach. 'She's hateable in Lost, but really she's the sweetest, most adorable thing on the planet,' says Ian, of 22-year-old Maggie and her spoiled alter ego Shannon.

Island life: 'It's a superior lifestyle, and you appreciate it even more when you go to LA for the weekend. It's just a lot slower and everything has more meaning. I'm entirely a better person there,' says Maggie on her life in Hawaii.

'It's a total dream job, being thrown into this life with strangers who turn out to be the most wonderful, beautiful individuals you've ever met,' she says. 'Like we went deep-sea fishing and I caught two Mahi Mahi fish. Ian grilled them on our balcony and we invited everyone over.'

Still to come: Both are working on new projects but are making time for each other. They have even adopted a pet together - another partner from Maggie's time on the island, her cat Roo, short for Crusoe. 'He's a feral kitty that showed up in the jungle on set; he was so tiny and literally dying. Now he's my travel buddy.'
