Maths Skills: Fraction snap

This game puts a new educational twist on tiddlywinks. Children will develop hand-eye co-ordination skills and learn to recognise and add fractions by competing with their friends.
What this activity will develop:
Maths, physical and social skills
What you'll need: CardboardCraft knifePolystyrene cupsPeel-off dotsFine-tipped markerMasking tapeTiddlywinks or plastic tokens
What to do:
Put the cups in the holes in the cardboard.
Write fractions on the peel-off dots, making one for each cup.
Peel off the dots, and stick one above each cup.
Cut a strip of cardboard longer than the game board. Fold the strip so that it will support the board and then tape the ends of the strip to the back of the board at the top and bottom.
How to play:
The first player whose scores add up to a whole number wins.
