Missing out on memories? Photos revealed as the thing women dread losing most

Of all your treasured possessions, what would you be most upset about losing? Recent research commissioned by DADapp.com has found that 85 per cent of women surveyed thought photos were the one item they would dread losing the most; more so than handbags, purses, or phones.

With many of our photos now being stored online, hidden on our mobile phones or left on our cameras, our photos aren’t being made the most of and can often get lost and forgotten. Sharing special events with long distance friends and family is even harder when you can’t find or have lost the photos. Thankfully, there are many things you can do to keep your photos safe and made the most of.

Organise your photos

Digital disorganisation is one of the biggest reasons why we don’t make the most of our photos and often lose them. By using software such as DAD App you can easily organise all your photos, valuable contacts, music and other documents automatically and safely. All your items are filed in one easy to use index, and DAD makes sure you’ve backed them up.  DAD can be easily downloaded and set up to organise all aspects of your digital life, notably preventing missed opportunities to enjoy photos and allowing whole photo albums to be created and viewed.

Make a photo album

Celebrate a special occasion by using an online photo album provider to create and print a fantastic and memorable photo album. Using your DAD software you can ask for friends and family to share photos so you can start building up a really great collection, plus you can set up rules so this is done automatically. Use DAD app to start an album of your child’s first year at school, an album of your holiday, or an album of your family to give to your daughter when she goes to university. Alternatively, create a photo album within DAD and share your pictures privately and securely with family and friends or upload them onto your digital photo frame and make the most of those photos.

Create a photo card

Rather than buying standard Christmas, birthday and anniversary cards, try to use some of your photos to create personal cards. Create a folder in DAD app to store special images and tag friends and family members in throughout the year, making it super easy to find them when it comes to card making. You can set up rules that photos to certain people, so when it comes to finding photos of your son for that special card it won’t be a tedious chore sifting through old folders. There are many online stores you can have them printed with, or you could even make them into an e-card.

What else can you do with DAD?

DAD doesn’t just allow you to organise and make the most of your photos, but it helps organise your music, documents, contacts, and videos, plus acts as a backup so all your valuable items are not lost.

DAD can be downloaded from www.dadapp.com and comes with an additional three user licences for friends and family members, or other devices you own. DAD is available for an initial free month trial, and then will cost from as little as £5 per computer for a year.
