Myleene Klass: 'Bullies ruined my life'

Having been spat at in the street, called a bitch and heckled to 'go on Slim-Fast', Myleene Klass has spoken out about the effects of bullying, admitting that she thought bullying was normal

'I was never the prettiest at school,' explains Myleene. 'I wore these massive glasses and had chicken legs. And I thought it was normal to get bullied. I started wearing my make-up as a mask - I needed something to hide behind.

'If I use my fame for anything, I hope it's to give the message that it's within everyone's power to overcome it.'

Being on both sides of the size debate over the years, Myleene also talks about what she has learnt about 'size versus happiness'.

'The bigger I am, the happier I am. I don't know why. Gray [Graham Quinn, Myleene's long-term partner and the father of her child] met me at my largest, which I think is very telling. He hated me losing weight - he'd call me Boney M!'

Myleene currently couldn't be happier about her body having given birth to her daughter Ava seven months ago.

'At the moment, I think my body is superhuman, having just created a life. I can't believe I used to get depressed just because I couldn't fit into my jeans. I just made a life! Women totally rule the world!'

And despite having Ava and being engaged since 2005, Myleene isn't in a rush to get married.

'I'm connected to Gray forever anyway and I don't need a piece of paper or a priest to tell me how I feel. I still want to, though, because I feel left out. Ava's a Quinn and Graham's a Quinn. I want to be in the Quinn gang!'

Although Myleene is fully committed to Gray, she reveals that her weird crush is Stephen Fry and unlike every female on the planet, she doesn't fancy Brad Pitt despite having once shared a table with him, Matt Damon and George Clooney!

'Yes! He's so perfect-looking it's scary. I didn't fancy him, though. For me, it was all about Matt. I was pregnant and he even suggested a name for me - Isabella!'
