The Hollywood honeymoon period seems to get shorter and shorter. Forget the 7 year itch, this bunch seem to start scratching from the moment they say their 'I do's'. Here's the countdown of the short and the shorter of celeb quickie marriages.

You know how it is, you're out on the town with a friend, you have a nice meal, a few laughs, more than a few drinks - then you get married! Britney's marriage to school pal Jason isn't something she'll be showing Preston in the family album when he grows up. 'I think I was in Vegas and, I dunno, it just took over me', says the bemused princess of pop of her first marriage. 'I was with my friend and we just hit it off completely, things got out of hand.'

Cher and Greg Allman

Another example of why you've got to watch out for those Vegas weddings. Just three days after divorcing Sonny Bono, Cher and musician Gregg Allman spontaneously flew to Vegas in his Lear Jet to wed. However, she reportedly soon discovered that his drug and alcohol problems were too much for her, and filed for divorce before the fortnight was out.

Drew Barrymore and Jeremy Thomas

Drew is one of two celebrities with two entries in the top 10 quick-fire marriages (stand up please, Ms Lopez). The first of two impulsive acts of matrimony was to Welsh-born Jeremy, a Los Angeles barkeep. They had known each other only six weeks before they married, which was decided within hours one night. The impromptu setting was at Thomas' bar, The Room, on Cahuenga Blvd., shortly after 5am, on March 20, 1994. Supposedly both were sober. The minister was a clairvoyant from a psychic hot line who arrived within thirty minutes of being paged.

It seemed Elvis fanatic Nic loved the king of rock 'n' roll more than he loved the king's daughter, after the star couple failed to see eye-to-eye. Lisa Marie was no stranger to fast getaways, having split from first hubby Michael Jackson in 1994 after 20 months.

Renee was outraged with press reports predicting that her marriage would only last three months after her fairytale wedding to Kenny. She proved them all wrong of course... by a month. Go, Renne!

Charlie has had a lifetime of women trouble going right up to his current turmoil with second wife Denise Richards. Donna was the one that got away - and fast - after committing to the Hollywood bad-boy for only four months.

Carmen Electra and Dennis Rodman

Split: March 1999
Like Britney and Jason, these two were wed in a quickie Vegas wedding. Rodman initially tried to get an annulment after nine days of wedded bliss, but the two managed to stick it out another four and a half months.

Drew Barrymore and Tom Green

Eyebrows were raised when Drew fell for goofy-looking comedian Tom. The couple actually married twice - once for them and once for their families - but that didn't make breaking up any harder to do.

Another with double trouble when it comes to rapid marriages. J-Lo treats her husbands like the many member of her entourage - if she doesn't like them she drops them.

J-Lo's second appearance on the list is with her first husband. Ojani was the manager of J-Lo's restaurant before he found himself on the menu, only to be gobbled up, chewed and spat out by his diva other-half.
