'The girls are so dramatic in the makeovers and you just get caught up in it,' says Britney. 'It's one of my favourite shows. Would I go on the show? Never say never!'

Jennifer Aniston - ER, The Sopranos, Seinfeld, EastEnders
Jennifer Aniston Jen is a big fan of comedy and light drama shows. Her favourite? 'I never miss The Sopranos,' she says. 'I'm there every episode.' Three years ago the former Friends actress also joined a petition to stop soap EastEnders being taken off the air in the US. She and Brad were two of the 15,000 American fans who signed. It's not clear whether Jen still watches Dot and co.

George Clooney - Countdown, South Park
George ClooneyGeorge is actually responsible for discovering cartoon hit South Park after a pal sent him a video message of the foul-mouthed school kids. And while he still watches his discoveries, George is also something of a quiz show buff. 'I haven't seen that many in the UK,' he admits. 'I've watched Countdown and I like it.'

Paris Hilton - Big Brother, American Idol
Paris Hilton The Simple Life star is an avid viewer of American Big Brother as well as the current series of American Idol. 'I love it,' she says. 'Simon Cowell is so mean.' In fact, Paris almost became a Big Brother housemate herself three years ago when she was offered $1.8 million to appear on the German version of the show. Had she agreed she would have joined a bizarre band of ex-strippers, beauty queens, a married couple and a virgin, living under 24-hour scrutiny. She declined.

Madonna - EastEnders
MadonnaMadge is reported to be so addicted to EastEnders that she begged her director husband Guy Ritchie to get her a cameo. The request for a walk-on part caused quite a stir on Albert Square at the time. 'We know Madonna is a massive fan and Guy wants her to do a cameo,' reported a show insider. 'Her favourite character is Dot. She'd work very well with her in the launderette.'

Lindsay Lohan - Sponge Bob Square Pants
Lindsay Lohan The actress confesses to have seen every episode of underwater cartoon Sponge Bob Square Pants which follows the whacky adventures of a Y-front-wearing sea sponge.

'He's so cute and funny,' says Lindsay. 'He makes me laugh.' But before you start thinking Lindsay has a little too much sponge between the ears, she's not alone in the celebrity Square Pants fan club. Actor Mike Myers, Oasis' rocker Noel Gallagher and pop stars Justin Timberlake and Kelly Osbourne are also admirers.

The Royal Family - Coronation Street
The Royal Family's love affair with Coronation Street goes back decades. 'Her Majesty is a huge fan of Coronation Street,' a Buckingham Palace insider revealed. 'She rarely misses it and it was pointed out, only half-jokingly, that Deirdre and Ken Barlow's wedding was screened on the same day that Charles and Camilla got married.'

But being a Royal has its perks. Prince Charles even went so far as to use his status to actually appear on the Windsors' favourite show. The prince had a walk-on role in the soap in December 2000 when he appeared to celebrate the Street's 40th anniversary. He filmed a short scene with actress Sue Nicholls during an 'official visit' to Weatherfield.
