We've got all you need to spring into summer looking and feeling your best
Britain under water - your experiences
Well, it's going to get worse before it gets better apparently. Our electricity went off last night and again this morning. It's back on now so thought I'd quickly pop online while I can!
Our village is cut off by flood water so we're trapped at the moment. No tap water since last night so we're trying to use what we've saved in pans very sparingly. It's horrible trying to flush the loo!
We're going to try and get out of the village if we can later and drive out of the county to get some water as all the shops sold out yesterday. We're going to buy baby jars as well so if the electricity goes off again at least we have food for Poppy.

We've had a hellish three days. On Friday I got caught in flash floods while out driving, water was coming over the top of my bonnet and I was driving around a roundabout that had become a lake. Good job it is a familiar roundabout and I at least had a clue where the road was and where the concrete central area was. I swear I haven't been that scared in a very long time.
I haven't been driving very long and certainly not driven much in rain or severe conditions. Our neighbour's house was 1cm away from flooding and our garden is a lake.
Tesco and the entire car park at the end of our road was submerged under two foot of water and all the roads were rivers. Christian thought it was the greatest fun ever and spent the entire afternoon after I rescued him from nursery wandering around saying 'biiiiiiiiiiiig puddles'.
We took him out for a walk later in his wellies and he had the greatest time and managed to put a smile on everyone's faces as they stood despairing at the destruction around them before seeing this blissfully happy two-year-old having so much fun in the biiiiiiiiiiiiig puddles. Wellies were a bit of a waste of time though as most of the smaller puddles went over the top of them.
