What's it about?
Brian O'Connor (Paul Walker) returns in this high-speed sequel to take down Carter Verone (Cole Hauser), head of an international money-laundering cartel. The only link the Feds have to Carter is his involvement in illegal street racing. O'Connor must take on the assignment to redeem himself, after being stripped of his cop badge for blowing an investigation in Los Angeles.
The ex-cop must play the part right to be convincing but he can't do it alone. He insists on partnering with his childhood friend and ex-con, Roman Pearce (Tyrese Gibson). The two rule breakers have a race against the clock to bring down the kingpin.
The action gains momentum when the two learn of an uncover agent, Monica Fuentes (Eva Mendes), who is on the inside of Verone's world. Will the trio bring him down? It's all fast cars, fast-talking and fierce attitudes.
Is it any good?
This movie is full of playground fun. Director John Singleton sets the tone from the start with a high-speed race, complete with sleek racers and skimpy clad women. You'd almost think it was about hot pants instead of hot rods. Walker and Gibson's performance is so testosterone charged you almost burst out laughing. They can't seem to complete a sentence without punching someone. But the real stars are the cars, particularly the hot pink ride. This is the ideal movie for a Saturday night out with a mate.

When Tyrese takes off his 'blouse' and the sun catches his rippling muscles.
