Beautiful Days
When is it? 16th to 17th August.
What is it? Music and arts festival for all the family.
What's on? Lee Scratch Perry, Fishbone, The Levellers and more besides.
Where is it? Escot Park, near Fairmile.
How much? Weekend Camping tickets are £55 and £35 for children aged 5-12 years. Day Tickets are available for Saturday or Sunday at £27.50, £17.50 for children aged 5-12 years.

Glastonbury
When is it? 27th to 29th June 2003.
What is it? Annual 3-day music festival, featuring live bands from around the world.
Line-up? REM, Radiohead, Moby, Polyphonic Spree, Mogwai and more.
Where is it? Worthy Farm, Pilton, Shepton Mallet, Somerset.

Notting Hill Carnival
When is it? 23rd to 25th August 2003.
What's it like? Highly colourful West Indian and Caribbean street carnival, featuring dancers, steel bands and live limbo dancers.
Where is it? Notting Hill, London.
How much? Free.
