iVillage: What is the greatest thing that your writing has brought you on a personal level?

Barbara Taylor Bradford: Being a novelist, which was a childhood dream, has brought me immense satisfaction and gratification, in that I am using my creative talents. The success of my novels has given me a sense of pride and pleasure in my work, and knowing that I give other people pleasure and entertainment makes me feel good. According to the fan mail I get, my books often help people solve their own problems, change their lives for the better, or go on to new ventures, and that pleases me as well.
