Osama, Obama and the Surrender Monkeys

By Sarah Fletcher on 05 May 2011 4 comments

If you're easily offended by surreal insults, look away now, for Europeans have been branded 'cheese-eating surrender monkeys' by a journalist who claims to speak for many Americans but who probably just wanted to make it into the Daily Mail.

According to Tony Metcalfe, the British editor-in-chief of the Metro newspapers in the United States, Americans are pretty angry that we haven't been high-fiving and whooping enough over the death of terrorism's poster boy, Osama Bin Laden.

In fact, some people even question whether Bin Laden is more than just a figurehead for the Taliban, and whether the real power lies elsewhere. Obviously, that can't be mentioned, as who knows what Simpsons quote we'd be hit with next. Purple monkey dishwashers?

Maybe they'll rename 'English muffins' Freedom muffins like they did with French fries. Those Americans sure know how to pack a punch...
I think its the american idiology all over, we can't be touched so lets throw a big party that we killed someone! Yes he was a BAD BAD man who i think deserved to suffer for what he done, but taking to the streets to celebrate?? Not to my taste! And only provokes more bad feeling and the new taliban leader to make yet another attempt to hurt more people.
Think our dignity left them feeling undignified and then they add to it by hurling insults. Perhaps they just need to be more tolerant and less touchy.
Ha ha brilliant!!
