The 3-D daffodil card

This card is easy to make, and will look fabulous on your mantelpiece too.

What you need:

  • Coloured card (green and yellow)
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Crayons or glitter pens

What to do:

  1. Fold an A4 (30cm x 21cm) piece of green card in half to make the card.
  2. Cut a strip of yellow card, 5cm by 12 1/2cm.
  3. Roll the strip up to make a tube and secure the end with glue or tape.
  4. Help your child cut little slits about 3mm in around both ends of the tube.
  5. At one end push the flaps inwards to make a flat bottom for the tube.
  6. Attach the tube to the centre of the green card with glue and fluff out the flaps at the other end of the tube to make the daffodil's trumpet.
  7. Cut about eight petal shapes out of the rest of the yellow paper and let your child stick them down in a circle around the trumpet.
  8. Draw on the flower's stem and leaves with some green crayons or glitter pens and help your child to write a message on the front and inside.
