Gifts to make together

This is simple to make and will really cheer up your desk.

What you need:

• A large, round flat stone
• Ready-mixed red poster paint
• A large black felt tip pen
• Clear varnish
• Small piece of felt
• PVA Glue

What to do:

1. Make sure the stone is clean and dry, then paint all over with the red paint. Leave to dry for about half an hour.
2. Draw a line along the length of the stone with black pen, then draw on some big black spots and colour them in.
3. Colour the ladybird's 'face' in black and add some eyes.
4. Leave to dry for about an hour.
5. When dry, apply a thin layer of clear varnish and leave to dry according to the manufacturer's instructions.
6. When dry, cut a small circle of felt and glue to the bottom of the ladybird.
