Arundel Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust - Sussex
There's nothing better than being outdoors with the family and the Arundel Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust in Sussex is a great place to be. Set in ancient woodlands the centre attracts many wild birds to the lakes and surrounding area. With so much to do, including Safaris on the lakes in electric boats, discovery trail and craft activities, it makes a great day out. During half term, 26th May to 3rd June, the Trust is holding Downey Duckling Days, a chance to get up close and meet the duck families along with many other events for visitors during the holidays.

Alexandra Palace - London
Set in 196 acres of beautiful parkland in London Alexandra Palace offers a wide range of visitor attractions including the boating lake and an 18-hole Pitch & Putt Course. There's also an animal area and enclosure which is home to deer and wildlife. All this makes it a great place to visit for the family and if you are planning a visit during the spring bank holiday Alexandra Palace has a family fair with dodgems, rides and stalls with prizes.

Easton Farm Park - Suffolk
Easton Farm Park is an award-winning attraction set in the beautiful surroundings of the Deben river valley. The historic Victorian buildings offer a stunning backdrop to the fun to be had by all the family. Everyday there are pony rides, pat-a-pet, meeting Major - one of the big Suffolk Punch cart horses, pony and cart rides, egg collecting, barrel train rides, train rides, pig racing - as well as the mini tractors, go karts and diggers. There's a large indoor play barn where Mums and Dads can put their feet up with a cup of coffee while kids safely play.

Birdworld - Surrey
There's loads to do at Birdworld with its 26 acres of avaries and gardens. During half term families are invited to visit the baby animals at the farm, play games and get involved in craft activities, or simply have a chat with the demonstrators. Get a prize by following the Birdworld trail, take a tractor ride or there is Face Painting, Horse & Cart Rides and a Bouncy Castle. There's loads more to do with the animals including feeding the penguins, the Heron theatre, safari rides and owl prowl. An exhausting day out but well worth it!
