Is dribbling normal for a three year old?
My son will be three in March and he is still dribbling quite a lot. Is this normal for his age?
Sarah
Dear Sarah,
It is unusual for a three year old to be dribbling a lot. But sometimes this problem is associated with mouth breathing.

I don't know if you have, in fact, consulted your doctor about this, but it would be wise to have your little boys ears, mouth and nose checked over. Sometimes there can be a problem with the upper airways not serious but enough to cause continual dribbling.
If your son has any difficulties with eating or language skills this could indicate a problem with his tongue. Certainly, for peace of mind, it would be worth seeing your GP.
