reflux problems

My baby suffers from reflux problems and as well as bringing up a large amount of milk. He also seems to suffer pain from the acid this presumably brings up with it. My doctor prescribed infant gaviscon. I mentioned that Thomas is feeding on Cow and Gate Omneo Comfort which is a thickened feed.When I got home I noticed that on the back of the packet it says that infant gaviscon should not be taken with thickened milk. Should I stop giving it to him?

If your baby has been prescribed infant gaviscon (which is the usual treatment for reflux) I think it would be better for you to switch to normal formula milk.I do hope his symptoms improve soon ? it may also help if you feed him in as upright position as possible. Christine Hill.
