Who's that talking?
Many children spend far too much time sitting in front of the TV. This activity makes the most of that time by sharpening listening skills.
What this activity will develop:
Listening, language and thinking skills
What you'll need:
- Familiar television programme or video
What to do:
With your child, watch a familiar television show or video with characters he or she knows well. After a few minutes, ask your child to listen carefully with eyes closed. When a character comes on the show, ask who is speaking. Allow your child to open his or her eyes and see if the answer is correct. Take turns playing the game during the show.
