Strategies for your child
In the meantime, you can help your child by giving him or her some anti-bullying strategies.

Tell your child:

  • Try not to look scared, but face a bully and tell him or her to leave you alone.

  • Report bullying to an adult immediately and expect action to be taken.

  • Stay in safe areas in and on your way to school, for example where there are plenty of other people.

  • Talk to someone you trust about what has happened - a friend, parent or teacher.

  • If you see anyone else being bullied, tell a teacher or another adult you trust.
