Edible crocodile toes

by Nancy Blakey
Make this a part of a touchy-feely activity (it feels so sublimely slimy!), or serve on a plate for a treat.

What you'll need

  • 2 large packets of lime jelly
  • Boiling water
  • Large baking tray

What to do

  1. Make up the jelly according to the instructions on the packet. Stir until the mixture is dissolved. Pour into the baking tray and chill for several hours until firm.
  2. Cut the jelly into big oval toes with a sharp claw at the end (your child will love to help with this part!).
  3. To remove, briefly place the bottom of the tray in warm water and use a spatula to gently lift the toes out.
