Christine Hill is a physiotherapist. After qualifying in 1970, she took a postgraduate training in paediatrics and worked with babies and children for 10 years. She eventually became co-superintendent of the Physiotherapy Department at Paddington Green Children's Hospital in London. She subsequently trained as an obstetric physiotherapist and qualified as a full member of the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in 1981. For the last twenty years she has run a large private ante and postnatal practice in London where she has seen nearly 5,000 women and their babies. She and her husband are authors of "You and Your New Baby". (Second edition Vermilion, 1999)
