Howard Lee has recently retired from being a General Practitioner Partner in a group practice in Whitstable, Kent. Within the Health Centre, he ran Obstetric & Paediatric Clinics, performed Minor Surgical Operations, ran Family Planning Clinics, had Hypnotherapy Sessions, Well Male & Female Clinics, Hypertensive Clinics and became Medical Officer in two local Geriatric Nursing Homes.

In 1980 he travelled to Ghana, West Africa, with 'War On Want', to work in a Mission Hospital in the northern territory of Jirapa, and in 1986 to Zimbabwe, Africa, for 'OXFAM', to assess the needs of the Hospital Services in the peripheral areas of the Country and the Zambezi Valley.

Recently he has become a Honorary Medical Advisor (H.M.A.) for the Whitstable Royal National Life Institute (R.N.L.I.) and continues to be involved with the lifeboat crews for exercise and lectures.

He is a Serving Brother of The Order Of St. John (S.B.St.J.) and is the County Medical Officer.

He is an avid collector of Theatrical Books, Records and Memorabilia and is on the Executive Committee of the British Music Hall Society. Howard has been involved in Amateur Dramatics for many years, and is on the Committee of The Lindley Players. They run their own Theatre (The Playhouse, Whitstable) and are members of the Little Theatre Guild of Great Britain.
Howard also plays trombone.
