Clomid: does it cause breakthrough bleeding?
Is it normal to have any breakthrough bleeding while taking Clomid?
Clomid (clomiphene citrate) is a synthetic drug often used to treat certain types of infertility. Breakthrough bleeding is not typically one of the side effects of Clomid.
Women on Clomid can experience the following side effects:
- A decrease in fertile-quality cervical fluid around the time of ovulation.
- Hot flushes.
- Migraines.
- Breast discomfort.
- Visual symptoms, such as spots, flashes or blurry vision.
If you are concerned you should consult your own GP and talk to him about any symptoms.
