Too ill to return

My maternity leave ends in two weeks’ time and I know I will be too unwell to go back to work. What should I do?

answer
You should make sure that you follow your company’s usual sickness procedure – either send in a medical certificate or a self certificate. If you have contractual sick pay then this should be paid to you as normal. If you do not have any contractual sick pay then you should claim Incapacity Benefit.
