Do alcohol and pregnancy mix?
Pregnant mums are divided; some think it's fine to have a couple of glasses of wine a week while others prefer to abstain completely for the whole nine months. Which camp do you fall into?
Drinking heavily during pregnancy can cause birth defects and mental retardation, but did you know that one in four women (28 per cent) drink between two and five units of alcohol a week, double the recommended weekly limit, according to Tommy's National Pregnancy Week survey 2004.
Do you think women are drinking too much during pregnancy because they don't know how much a unit of alcohol is or because they don't want to admit to themselves how much they are drinking?
