When will I start to feel pregnant?
I am ten weeks pregnant but I don't feel pregnant yet. I had an ultrasound scan and could see the baby moving and the heart beating, but I don't have morning sickness or other typical discomforts. When will I start to feel pregnant?
The fact that you have seen the baby, there is cardiac activity and the baby seems the right size for its gestational age are all hopeful signs that the pregnancy will not miscarry despite the fact that you have no symptoms. There is some evidence that women who have no symptoms of pregnancy do have a slightly higher miscarriage rate, but in my clinical practice I have seen many, many women whose only symptom is the missed period.
There is no way of telling if you will experience any common complaints of pregnancy or early symptoms. At ten weeks you are beyond the time when most women experience nausea and breast tenderness. Fatigue and frequent urination are other symptoms that may yet occur. So I guess you are one of the lucky ones. But don't worry, as this is normal.
