Glucose challenge test
(glucose tolerance test, GTT): Measures the level of sugar in the blood. This important test is usually done around 28 weeks. Pregnant women are asked to drink a 'sweet' beverage. An hour later, blood is drawn to measure blood sugar levels. High blood-sugar levels may be a sign of gestational diabetes.
