Anaemia
'Iron-poor blood' is a common condition during pregnancy. Anaemia refers to a condition where there are either fewer red blood cells than normal or there is less of the chemical called haemoglobin, which carries oxygen, within the red cells. A shortage of these cells cause feelings of fatigue and dizziness. Your doctor will probably check your blood for anaemia at least twice during pregnancy.
