When it comes to cuts this summer, the bob will reign supreme. But forget the traditional POB. As the temperatures start to soar, bobs will become sharper and squarer and we'll see the arrival of the 'Advanced POB', characterised by long, sweeping fringes and soft, feathery layers at the back.

Fringe Benefits
Wide, shattered fringes will be hot, hot, hot this summer! Whether you choose to wear yours as a full fringe, centre parting, pulled back, or to the side, this versatile peeper-sweeper will ensure your style oozes appeal. For inspiration, look to screen siren Anne Hathaway who has this spot on.

Long Story
Can't commit to chopping off the locks? Follow Rachel Bilson's lead and keep them lengthy and luscious. For extra sizzle this summer, ladies across the land will be adding long, shattered layers around the base of the haircut, combined with soft interior layers to inject texture and bags of volume!

Block Party
New season, new wardrobe, new hair colour! When the sun begins to shine, block coloured blonde will be back with a vengeance! The trendiest tresses will sport extra chunky blonde slices at the front, blending out through the crown for the ultimate sun-kissed style (think Mrs Beckham's new LA look).

Chocoholic

Ditch those ponytails this summer. This season it's all about casual pleats (aka French rolls). Simply twist hair into a sausage shape, secure and go! No need to hide away those hairpins. Braidy-Bunch
Slim may be 'in' on the catwalks but when it comes to hair, super-size your style with some fat braids. For long hair, scrape back into the centre of the nape of the neck; divide into three sections and plait. To crank up your style for the evening, add some height at the top to introduce some voluminous va-va voom.
