A repair is achieved by disguising the damage. Jointing compounds are usually supplied with a fitted kitchen and are the best option for hiding dents or scratches. Re-attach broken edging as shown

Tools and materials
Contact adhesive, masking tape, pencil or crayon

| Apply contact adhesive to both the worktop edge and the broken section of laminate. |
Wait for it to become tacky and stick it in place - use masking tape to hold it securely. |
Once the adhesive has dried, remove the masking tape and use a pencil or crayon to disguise any white edges along the join. |
