Top tips for summer tresses

Holiday Hair Hangovers

'Aspirin isn't just great for curing holiday hangovers, it can work wonders for your hair too. If you're dipping in and out of the pool, to prevent chlorine stripping your locks of shine, colour and nutrients, dissolve an aspirin in a glass of mineral water, pour over, and leave to oxidise in for two minutes. Rinse with clean water and follow with a conditioning treatment. The aspirin will remove the build-up of chemicals trapped in your tresses without damaging them, and the conditioner will complete the process, leaving you with a shiny mane that's to dive for!'

Tangled Tresses

  • 'After a long dull winter, tired tangled locks may be in need of some summer softening. To revive stressed tresses, massage a leave-in conditioning treatment; tie your hair back in a bun and rinse thoroughly at the end of the day. Your silky strands will be so glossy and tangle free, that everyone will want to know your secret!'

Parting Ways

  • 'To avoid scalp burn on holiday, change your parting as often as you can when bathing in the sun. Alternating the position of your parting won't just give you a gorgeous new look every day, it will also reduce sunspots, irritation and bleaching to ensure your scalp stays fabulous rather than frazzled all summer long.'
