| Crochet a cushion cover
MaterialsRowan Calmer, 1 x 50g ball. I used Kiwi.30cm/12in of Kaffe Fassett Fabric Collection in Roman Glass, cut into 2.5cm/1in strips. I used red and green. Cushion pad, 30cm/12in square.

Tension17 stitches to 10cm/4in.
Pattern
FrontMake 54ch.Foundation row: 1tr into 6th chain from the hook, [1ch, miss 1ch, 1tr into next ch] to end. Row 1: 4ch, miss first tr [1tr into next tr, 1ch] to end, 1tr in 2nd of each ch. Rep row 1 until front is square. Fasten off.
To finishPress.Fold fabric strips in half, (so that pattern is showing) and weave in and out of the mesh as illustrated or according to a pattern of your choice. Tucking in any loose ends as you go, slip stitch the panel onto your cushion pad. Back with a contrasting fabric or make another panel to match or contrast.
